Diesel, kerosene rollback set Tuesday, June 16, 2026; gasoline mixed
Motorists will see mixed movements in pump prices this week, as retailers are set to roll back diesel and kerosene prices, while gasoline prices may either decrease or increase.
According to the Department of Energy (DOE), mixed movements may be seen this week, depending on the fuel retailer and their location, whether they are closer or farther from the depots:
- Gasoline: Rollback of up to P0.32 or hike of up to P1.68
- Diesel: Rollback of P3.71 to P5.71
- Kerosene: Rollback of P0.50 to P2.50
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesdsay, June 16, 2026.
Last week, firms hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.30, diesel by P4.80 to P5.77, and kerosene by P4.75 to P8.10.
This brought the year-to-date adjustments to a net increase of P45.32 per liter for gasoline, P43.41 per liter for diesel, and P37.80 per liter for kerosene as of June 9, 2026.
Energy Secretary Sharon Garin on Monday welcomed reports that the United States and Iran have agreed on a framework to end the war, as the Philippines—a net importer of fuel—has been largely affected by the spike in global oil prices.
“This is welcome news for the Philippines. As a country that imports majority of its oil, we are acutely sensitive to global energy prices,” she told reporters in a virtual briefing.
Latest data available from the DOE show that the country’s total fuel inventory was equivalent to 46.47 days worth of supply as of June 12, 2026—gasoline at 44.98 days, diesel at 43.06 days, kerosene at 139.12 days, jet fuel at 73.83 days, fuel oil at 45.50 days, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at 45 days. — RSJ, GMA News
