COVID-19 cases in San Juan City rise to 114 with 18 deaths, 5 recoveries

The number of COVID-19 cases in San Juan City on Thursday climbed to 114 with 18 deaths.  Five persons have recovered and 21 patients were discharged.

In an update, San Juan City also recorded 152 Patients Under Investigation (PUIs) and 382 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs).

"Sa ngayon, may mga nakalabas na po ng ospital dahil clinically recovered o gumaling na po ang kanilang mga sintomas at nag-aantay na lang pong magkaroon ng dalawang sunod na negative test. Nabibilang po sila sa DISCHARGED," City Mayor Francis Zamora said in his Facebook post.

The San Juan government had turned the city’s science high school into an overflow quarantine facility for persons under investigation (PUI) of COVID-19.

The facility was being managed by the San Juan Medical Center and by the city health office.

Zamora will undergo a 14-day self-quarantine, as one of his staff in the Mayor's Office tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). —LDF, GMA News
