Robredo credits improved ratings to pro-poor initiatives

Vice President Leni Robredo has credited her increased net satistaction ratings from 27 to 42 percent in March to her office's anti-poverty initiatives.

Robredo was responding to the results of the latest Social Weather Stations survey.

"Masaya naman. Medyo malaki iyong itinaas ngayon, 15 points. Gustong sabihin, parang nagme-make naman ng mark iyong ginagawa ng opisina namin, kasi from Day 1 naman, talagang umiikot kami sa buong Pilipinas para sa aming Angat Buhay program. Pinupuntahan talaga namin iyong pinakamahihirap na mga lugar," Robredo said in an interview during a visit in Cagayan de Oro.

The Angat Buhay program is an initiative wherein Robredo and her staff gather and evaluate data from communities across the country to determine which private entity they could tap that can be of help.

"Kahit paano, nararamdaman iyong ginagawa. Itong magandang balita, nagbibigay lang sa amin ng mas malaki pang inspirasyon at pag-asa para lalo pa kaming ganahan na ipagpatuloy iyong aming ginagawa," Robredo added.

Prior to gaining 15 percent in her net satisfaction rating, Robredo's net satisfaction rating dropped from 34 percent to 27 percent in January. — MDM, GMA News
