Ben Tulfo goes ballistic vs. DSWD Sec. Bautista: Daig mo pa si Padre Damaso

Broadcaster Ben Tulfo on Saturday expressed anger at Social Welfare and Development chief Rolando Bautista for setting conditions before accepting his brother Erwin Tulfo's apology.

"Putres na 'brotherhood'! ang KAKAPAL! Ayon sa kumag na OIC, mag-sorry daw sa lahat ng media outlet. 'BUTAW' na P300k kinakailangan para mahugasan ang kasalanan. Tsong, daig mo pa si Padre Damaso at mga kolokoy na kauri mo! Nagpapatawa ka ba?! #unfiltered," Ben wrote on Twitter.

In a Facebook post, Erwin's other brother, Ramon Tulfo, asked why his brother's apology did not seem to be enough for Bautista.

"[H]umingi na siya ng kapatawaran. Di pa ba sapat yun? Ano pa ang dapat niyang gawin? Bakit nila masyado yatang ginigipit ang aking kapatid? Marami naman siyang nagawang mabuti sa kanyang kapwa," he said.

Bautista on Friday said he was accepting Erwin's apology following his on-air tirades against him, but laid down several conditions including Erwin making a public apology and donating P300,000 to 19 organizations and trust funds.

He said Erwin must have his public apology published as a half-page ad or bigger on major newspapers, the cost of which will come from the broadcast personality's own pocket.

Bautista added the apology should also be put on social media, and aired on radio.

The rift started after Erwin ranted on air against Bautista. Erwin wanted to interview Bautista but he was told by the latter’s office that he has to write first a letter requesting for an interview.

"Eh kung ako nahihirapan ako magkaroon ng access sayo, eh pano pa ang mahihirap? Sige nga, saguitn mo, punyeta ka.  Putragis ka isa ka pang heneral ka na walang kwenta.  Ewan ko ba kung bakit nalagay ka ng Pangulo dyan, buang ka," Tulfo said in his program over state-run Radyo Pilipinas early this week.

"Mr. President sibakin mo na itong demonyo na ito, Sec. Rolando Bautista, inutil pa sa lahat ng inutil," he added.

Erwin however apologized on Monday.

The Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association, Inc. was considering to file cases against Erwin after he issued "degrading remarks" against Bautista.

The Association of General and Flag Officers also slammed Erwin for "abuse of freedom" for berating and publicly humiliating Bautista
