Ramon Revilla Sr. now in stable condition, says grandson Vice Gov. Jolo

Former senator and actor Ramon Revilla Sr., who was brought to the hospital on Sunday, is now in a stable condition, his grandson Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla said on Monday afternoon.

"Maraming salamat po sa inyong mga dasal para sa aking lolo, Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr. Daddy is now in stable condition and we are hoping for his speedy recovery," Jolo said in a Facebook post.

He posted a photo of him with his father, Senator Ramon "Bong" Revillar Jr., together with the 93-year-old Revilla patriarch who is already conscious and smiling at the camera.

Earlier in the day, Senator Bong asked the public for prayers, saying his father was still in a critical condition.

Revilla Sr. had difficulty in breathing and was "somewhat unresponsive" on Sunday. He was given first aid and emergency services at the St. Dominic Medical Center before he was transferred to St. Luke's Medical Center-Global City. — Dona Magsino/RSJ, GMA News
