Footage shows Dacera carried from Room 2207 hours before death

Security camera footage from a Makati hotel showed flight attendant Christine Dacera being fetched from a neighboring room by one of her friends hours before she was found dead in the bathtub of Room 2209 where they were billeted.

According to Emil Sumangil’s “24 Oras” report on Tuesday, a reliable Philippine National Police source provided GMA News with the videos.

One video recorded on January 1 at 5:45 a.m., showed Dacera walking out of their hotel room and walking towards the adjacent Room 2207.

At around 6 a.m., Dacera’s friend and now one of the respondents in her case, Valentine Rosales, could be seen walking out of their hotel room toward Room 2207 as well.

Past 6:20 a.m., Rosales was seen carrying Dacera back to Room 2209.

At around 6:40 a.m., the CCTV captured men identified as Edward Madrid and Joseph Darwin Macalla seemingly having an argument in the hallway outside the hotel rooms.

The source said Macalla was one of the eight people in Room 2207.

Other clips earlier given to GMA News showed occupants of Room 2207 leaving the hotel hours before Dacera was found dead.

The National Bureau of Investigation said it had identified the occupants of Room 2207 but refused to name them.

The videos will be submitted to the Makati Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday as part of the police’s supplemental complaint.

The sworn statement of the hotel security guard who helped transfer Dacera to a wheelchair will also be submitted.

The guard said the wheelchair could not have caused injury to Dacera as it was in good condition, contrary to earlier speculation by Rosales that the bruises found on the flight attendant’s body were likely caused by the lack of leg assists on the wheelchair.

GMA News has sought the respondents for comment.

Dacera was found dead a day after checking into the hotel for a New Year’s Eve celebration with friends.

A preliminary investigation into her case has been set for Wednesday.  Julia Mari Ornedo/DVM, GMA News
