PNP COVID-19 cases rise to 41,587


The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday said its total number of COVID-19 cases among personnel went up to 41,587.

This was after 63 new COVID-19 cases were reported on Saturday.

Active COVID-19 cases are at 792, according to data from the PNP Health Service.

Meanwhile, 85 PNP personnel recovered from COVID-19, driving up the total recoveries since the start of the pandemic to 40,672.

The death toll on the other hand remained at 123.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday recorded 5,823 new COVID-19 cases, which pushed the total tally nationwide to 2,745,889 infections.

Of this number, 66,838 are active.

Total recoveries climbed by 4,748 to 2,637,531, while 283 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 41,520. —KG, GMA News
