Marcos hails Pinoys who have become 'valued' members of American society
LOS ANGELES, USA - President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Sunday (PH time) lauded Filipinos residing and living in the United States as they have become "valued members of the American society."
"It is very heartwarming for me to see you succeed and to become valued members of the American society, not only in the places that you live, but also in the places that you work and beyond," Marcos said in his speech during his meeting with the Filipino community.
"I cannot repeat it often enough — the reputation that you have earned for our country is something that we back home are so proud of you," he added.
Marcos encouraged Filipinos in the US to continue being ambassadors of goodwill.
Marcos, who attended the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in San Francisco earlier this week, only had a brief working trip to Los Angeles where he also had a tour of the SpaceX facility.
He will be leaving for Honolulu, Hawaii where he is expected to also meet the Filipino community and the Indo-Pacific Command. —KG, GMA Integrated News
