Pope Francis on Friday received Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle in audience, according to the bulletin released by the Holy See Press Office at the Vatican.

The details of the meeting are not stated in the bulletin, but Tagle was present as the prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelisation of Peoples.

Tagle was the first head of a Vatican dicastery, Vatican News reported, who had tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). He recently visited his parents in the Philippines and attend some activities.

During his bout with COVID-19, he was reported to have been asymptomatic and he underwent quarantine. He took another swab test after two weeks and this showed that he was negative for the virus.

Tagle had since returned to his work in Rome on the second week of October, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines announced.

The Pontiff also met with Archbishop Charles John Brown, apostolic nuncio in the Philippines, and members of the “Zayed Award for Human Fraternity” Committee.
