Foxconn to have first crack at making new Apple TV?
Taiwan-based device maker Foxconn may have first crack at manufacturing Apple Inc.'s new "Apple TV" set, a tech site reported this week. A report on The Next Web cited an article on Chinese news portal Sina indicating Foxconn’s Fuji Kang Longhua plant in Shenzhen has begun pilot production. However, it said there were no additional details about the supposed manufacturing of the new Apple TV. The Next Web noted Apple had long been linked with the release of new television sets but reports of its production have been limited to few technology analysts and supposed "leaks" from supply chain insiders. It also quoted Foxconn as saying in a statement it is company policy “not to comment on any customers or their products.” On the other hand, it said Foxconn claimed it would be ready to assist Apple, if needed. — LBG, GMA News
