Will the iPhone 6 feature tactile feedback?
Will haptic feedback be one of the new features of Apple's upcoming refresh to its iPhone line?
Recent Chinese media reports hinted at a "tactile feedback linear motor" that can generate subtle vibrations in correlation with the app's scenario, G for Games reported.
"It can even emit different vibrations depending on the area of the touch screen that is being pressed," it said.
The site noted the fourth generation of haptic feedback technology called “Bulldog” has been demonstrated in the UK in June last year.
It said this has pressure sensitivity on flat surfaces, and can deliver three levels of feedback depending on how hard the user pressed.
A separate article on enthusiast site 9to5mac.com noted there are very few other details, except that the motors are made by Apple supplier AAC and Jinlong Electrical. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
