Apple rolls out iOS 8.1.2 to fix ringtone problem, other bugs


Users of iPhones who have mysteriously lost their ringtones may want to download this update from Apple.

Apple Inc. has made available for download and installation iOS 8.1.2, which it said has the latest round of bug fixes.

It said the bug "addresses a problem whre ringtones bought from iTunes Store may have been removed" from the device.

Owners of iPhones affected by the bug may visit www.itunes.com/restore-tones from the iOS device after installing the update.

A separate article on 9to5mac.com said the update also applies to iPads and iPod touches running iOS 8.

It added iOS 8.1.2 is the latest maintenance update after iOS 8.1.1

Meanwhile, 9to5mac said Apple also refreshed its Apple TV channel lineup with new content, including UFC and Dailymotion.
