Apple to debut Beats-based music service in iOS 8.4?

First, the good news: music-loving iPhone and iPad users can look forward to a music streaming service from Apple, integrated into their devices.
The Beats-based streaming music service is to debut in iOS 8.4, codenamed Copper, enthusiast site 9to5mac.com reported.
Now, the bad news: iOS 8.4 is quite some time away, and its release is reportedly due after the Apple Watch is made available.
"Sources say that the iOS 8.4 update will be released after the Apple Watch becomes available, so users should not expect this update in the immediate future. Sources also say that Apple is currently considering using iOS 8.4 as the iOS update that includes the upcoming Beats-based streaming music service," it said.
For now, 9to5mac said its Google Analytics indicates iOS 8.4 is "well into testing."
On the other hand, 9to5mac said it is not discounting the possibility iOS 8.4's features may be integrated into iOS 9, which is due in the fall.
"We’ve since learned that iOS 9 is codenamed Monarch, another Colorado-based ski resort," it said. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
