Apple rolls out new Yosemite security update

Apple is rolling out a new security update for its OS X Yosemite (10.10.2) along with an update to its iPhoto app, an enthusiast site reported.

In a post, 9to5mac.com said Apple also released a separate version of the update for Macs released earlier this year.

Covered by the separate version of the update are the new upcoming MacBook and the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Force Touch trackpads.

It said the update can be accessed via the Updates tab of the Mac App Store, or as an installer.

However, it said those with the public beta of OS X 10.10.3 may not need the update.

Meanwhile, 9to5mac said the iPhoto app was also updated for compatibility with the upcoming Photos app. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
