Twitch possibly hacked, resets user passwords
Gaming live-stream site Twitch has reset user passwords following a possible data breach, a tech site reported.
Amazon-owned Twitch advised users to set up a new password after resetting the passwords and stream keys, PC World reported March 23.
Twitch gained popularity after it allowed users of game consoles to stream their games online for others to watch.
Following the supposed data breach, Twitch also disconnected accounts from Twitter and YouTube, it added.
PC World cited a blog post by Twitch where it referred only to “user account information” and did not offer further details.
Also, Twitch urged users to change their passwords for other sites where they use the same or a similar password. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
