Several parts of the country will be cloudy with scattered rains, thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA


The Low Pressure Area (LPA) early Friday morning was estimated at 325 kilometers northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 520 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon while the southwest monsoon will be affecting southern Luzon and Visayas, PAGASA reported.

Metro Manila, central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Central and eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the trough of the LPA.

There may be flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate with at times heavy rainshowers.

MIMAROPA and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon with the possibility that flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate with at times heavy rainshowers.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms and flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Luzon and Visayas is moderate to strong and moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

In Mindanao, wind speed will be slight to moderate moving in the southwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
