NLEX ADVISORY: Libtong Exit, Sta. Rita and Pulilan northbound entries closed; heavy traffic in some areas (Tuesday, 3:20 p.m)

Two entries and one exit on the northbound lanes of the North Luzon Expressway remain closed Tuesday afternoon, while heavy traffic is expected due to some water build up.

According to an advisory from NLEX Corporation, here are the road and traffic conditions along the highway as of 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026:

Northbound

• Libtong Exit - temporarily closed due to local flooding
• Sta. Rita entry - temporarily closed to all vehicle classes
• Pulilan entry - temporarily closed to all vehicle classes
• Tulaoc (San Simon) - lane 1 passable to all types of vehicles; lane 2 passable to class 2 and 3 vehicles; heavy traffic
• San Simon Interchange - lane 1 passable to all types of vehicles; lane 2 passable to class 2 and 3 vehicles; heavy traffic

Southbound

• Balintawak - passable to all types of vehicles; light traffic
• Valenzuela - passable to all types of vehicles; light traffic
• Meycauayan - passable to all types of vehicles; light traffic
• Tulaoc (San Simon) - lane 1 passable to all types of vehicles; lane 2 passable to class 2 and 3 vehicles; heavy traffic
• San Simon Interchange - lane 1 passable to all types of vehicles; lanes 2 and 3 not passable; heavy traffic

In an advisory issued at 3 p.m., NLEX Corporation said alternate routes for southbound motorists include traveling via CLLEX or via Mexico. —VAL, GMA News
