Ivana Alawi explains viral ayuda video amid flooding

Ivana Alawi addressed the criticism she received after a video of her distributing relief goods on a flooded road went viral.

Netizens commented that Ivana should have conducted her relief drive in a safer and dry area after she was seen getting relief packs from a truck and handing them to residents lined up in calf-deep water.

In a Facebook comment, the content creator said the truck broke down and was unable to move for the whole afternoon.

"So while we were trying to fix the truck and move to another area, some people lined up and stopped where the vehicle broke down," Ivana said in Filipino.

"We kept coming back to the area where the truck was parked to carry the relief goods and bring them to another area," she added.

Ivana also urges the public to understand the whole situation before judging.

Aside from the relief goods, Ivana also gave cash donations.

Ivana was named Best Host for Public Service at the inaugural FAMAS Broadcast Awards. She tied with Kara David for the award.
