Khalil Ramos shares how he found a mother figure in Sharon Cuneta in 'Honor Thy Mother'
Khalil Ramos said he found a mother figure in Sharon Cuneta while filming the upcoming family drama "Honor Thy Mother."
During the series' media conference on Tuesday, the Kapuso actor shared his experience working with the Megastar.
"Like Barbie [Forteza], in the first few days, I was also really nervous. I mean, Miss Sharon's filmography speaks for itself. She's one of our country's celebrated actors. I look up to her as an actor as well," Khalil shared.
But after sharing a scene with the veteran star, the young actor said his fear disappeared.
"But then, when I finally shared the scene with her, my fear shattered because she's such the kindest actor that I've ever worked with. She's really like our mother on the set. She cares for us so much."
Khalil also praised Sharon for her acting prowess.
"And you were absolutely brilliant, Miss Sharon. I remember those first few scenes that were quite heavy. I mean, during the take, I was genuinely shaken. It was like, 'Why did she do that?' But really, it was a total masterclass," he said.
In an episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Sharon said she has "fallen in love" with Barbie and Khalil, whom she considers among the younger artists she has grown closest to.
She also expressed her admiration for Khalil, whom she described as a well-raised young man.
Aside from Barbie, Sharon, and Khalil, "Honor Thy Mother" also stars John Estrada, RK Bagatsing, Mercedes Cabral and Tonton Gutierrez with a special participation of Boy Abunda.
"Honor Thy Mother" is a collaboration of three media giants, GMA Network, ABS-CBN, and Prime Video. It will premiere on September 11 on Prime Video. —MGP, GMA News
