Alden Richards says he was surprised by himself for opening up in 'GGV' interview

Alden Richards admitted he was surprised by the turnout of his interview on "Gandang Gabi Vice."

In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” on Monday, Asia’s Multimedia Star noted he was also surprised by himself for opening up during his guesting.

"I was surprised by the turnout and I was also surprised by myself. Me, I think, I’ve reached that realization and age right now wherein I really don’t care anymore. I’m not here to please anyone," he said in a mix of Filipino and English.

“I’m just here to be a blessing to someone else’s life. To change their lives with the things I do, with the things that I love to do, and to be an instrument of blessings,” he added.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda shared that it was a “really beautiful pilot episode.”

Vice also revealed that it was Alden who texted her about being a possible guest on the show.

“Maybe when he saw the announcement on GMA or on the news, he said, ‘Miss Vice, G, let’s do ‘GGV.’ He said that, of course I was shy to approach,” she said.

“Gandang Gabi Vice” is a collaboration between GMA Network and ABS-CBN. It airs every Sunday at 10 p.m.

Meanwhile, Alden currently stars in the Viu Series “Love, Siargao” opposite Nadine Lustre. It premieres on GMA on September 28.

He is also set to star in the upcoming Kapuso medical series, “Code Grey.”
