Alden Richards calls 'GGV' guesting his 'rawest interview' yet

Alden Richards opened up about his recent guest appearance on “Gandang Gabi Vice" this month, which many viewers praised for showing a more candid and vulnerable side of the Kapuso star.

In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras” on Friday, the Asia’s Multimedia Star said the appearance was his most intense guesting so far, as he allowed himself to be more open and unfiltered throughout the interview.

"This is my rawest interview. Unfiltered. Maybe I've come to a point already at my age right now that I don't care anymore. I mean, this is what it is. I'm not trying to impress anyone anymore," Alden said in a mix of Filipino and English.

He said some viewers even told him it was their first time seeing him display such a wide range of emotions.

“Some people said it was the first time they saw me like that, showing all those emotions. Like an open book, more open than an open book, and I think that's me being a no-BS person. That’s it. I’m done trying to impress people,” Alden added.

On the trending “GGV” episode, Alden broke down over the pressure to find love.

Vice Ganda said the moment lasted nearly 10 minutes.

Following his “Gandang Gabi Vice” appearance, Alden is set to fly to the United States in October to join the “Pinoy Festival in Las Vegas,” which will be held from October 9 to 11.

He will be joined by fellow Filipino artists AiAi delas Alas, Boobay and Tekla, Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, and JayR.

Meanwhile, Alden continues filming his upcoming medical drama “Code Grey,” where he plays a surgeon.

The actor said he has been enjoying the role and has also been given opportunities to contribute creatively to the project.

"It's gonna be a very beautiful show. That I can assure you guys because I'm given the opportunity to work creatively with the whole team. So, it's nice that my inputs matter. Even Direk LA, the creatives, would ask me, 'Alden, is this OK with you?'" he said.

Moreover, "Love, Siargao," his first team-up with Nadine Lustre, will be premiering on GMA Network on September 28.
