Doug Kramer and family share message of compassion, forgiveness amid Patrick Garcia issue
Doug Kramer and his family shared a message about choosing love, forgiveness, and compassion amid the ongoing online discussions surrounding Chesca Kramer’s brother Patrick Garcia and his past relationship with Jennylyn Mercado.
On the Team Kramer Facebook page, as well as Doug's Instagram, they urged people to respond to hate and resentment with love and understanding.
“Fight hate with Love. Resentment with Light. Cruelty is an echo of unrest within. Yet not every stone thrown is purely blind. Perfection isn’t human; we all stumble along the way,” they wrote.
“Grace is needed both ways—we all hurt others, and we also feel pain. So extend forgiveness generously; none of us walk with clean hands,” the post added.
They also encouraged followers to hold on to warmth and compassion instead of returning hurt with more hurt.
“Hold fast to your warmth and keep moving forward. Refuse to return the sting. And let Compassion break the heavy chain.”
Patrick has been in the spotlight after his rare interview with Ogie Diaz, where he revisited his past relationship with Jennylyn and shared his side of their story involving their son, Alex Jazz.
He said he decided to speak up after his daughter began receiving hate comments on social media because of him.
It prompted Jennylyn's husband Dennis Trillo to react and write a short message on social media.
"Hindi ako pabor sa bashing, pero salamat at naalala mo si Jazz dahil sa pag bash sa anak mo. Spread love, not hate," Dennis said.
He later asked for the bashing to stop, saying, "Past is past."
Jennylyn, meanwhile, has declined to comment.
