Glaiza De Castro finds deeper connection to 'Amir' role with pregnancy

Glaiza De Castro revealed that she was already filming "Amir" when she learned that she was pregnant with her first child.

In Athena Imperial's report in "24 Oras" on Thursday, the actress said she received the full support of her co-stars and the production team.

Glaiza also said her status as a mom-to-be gave her a new perspective on her portrayal of her role.

"I developed a deeper connection with Amir when I found out that I was pregnant," she said, adding that her pregnancy awakened her maternal instincts.

"Amir" is an official entry of GMA Pictures, GMA Public Affairs, and Brightburn Entertainment to the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Aside from Glaiza, it stars Dennis Trillo, Argus Aspiras, and Will Ashley.

Meanwhile, Glaiza announced her pregnancy in September.

Earlier this month, she received a surprise baby shower from her closest friends from showbiz, including Angelica Panganiban and Maxene Magalona.
