Julie Anne San Jose explains why working on Valentine's Day is a 'good thing'

For Julie Anne San Jose, working on Valentines Day isn't so bad.

The Asia's Pop Diva will join Christian Bautista for a pre-Valentine concert called "The Sweetheart and The Balladeer (Fun Night Only)" on February 8. But at the press event Thursday, a reporter asked Julie Anne what her plans were on V-day itself.

"I believe may work ako. Hindi ko pa kabisado ang schedule ko, pero feeling ko may trabaho ako," she said.

Julie Anne would later explain in an interview that, as a singer, she would look forward to work, even if it's on Valentine's day.

"Iba-iba kasi," she told reporters. "(Depende) kung may trabaho ako o wala but, usually, I spend it with family pag wala akong work. But I think meron akong work sa Valentines (day)."

Asked whether this was good or bad, Julie Anne smiled and said:

"It's a good thing! It's a blessing."

Speaking of blessings, the 25-year-old singer, songwriter, and actress has been getting a lot of them recently.

Julie Anne completely dominated 2019 with a sold-out concert, a successful album, and several music awards.

And, just this week, she was named the National Commission for Culture and the Arts' (NCCA) newest ambassador for music. —MGP, GMA News
