Ruby Rodriguez is now considered a PUI for COVID-19

Because of their close contact with Dr. Sally Gatchalian, Eat Bulaga host Ruby Rodriguez, her husband and their child, are now considered PUIs for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Dr. Gatchalian, the president of the Philippine Pediatric Society and Ruby’s older sister, passed away from COVID-19 on Thursday.

She was the 9th doctor in the Philippines to succumb to the deadly infection.

Ruby and her family's quarantine period was to end today but according to Nelson Canlas’ report on "24 Oras Weekend" Saturday, it has been extended for another week.

The number of COVID-19 infections in the Philippines has reached 1,075 on Saturday. — LA, GMA News
