Sylvia Sanchez and husband are clear from pneumonia as they continue to fight COVID-19
Sylvia Sanchez on Tuesday said she and her husband Art Atayde are now clear from pneumonia, as they continue to fight the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The actress shared a photo of herself sitting on a hospital bed posing for a photo with the two doctors who have been helping them fight the virus.
"Our heartfelt gratitude to these two doctors and the rest of their team for guiding me and my husband as we continue to fight COVID," Sylvia wrote in the caption of her post.
But while they are clear from pneumonia, Sylvia said she and Art "we continue to fight this sickness."
In a hopeful note she said, "I am one negative test away from going home. With their help and with all your love and prayers, we are definitely on the road to recovery."
On March 31, Sylvia announced that she and her husband Art tested positive with COVID-19, making her one of the first local celebrities who tested positive with COVID-19.
Iza Calzado and Christopher de Leon also previously tested positive for COVID-19, and are also now both free from the virus.
As of Tuesday, the number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines leaped to 5,223 with 335 deaths and 295 recoveries. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
