Ara Mina donates a truckload of rice to various provinces amid COVID-19

Ara Mina is quite the generous soul.

The celebrity donated a truckload of rice "to those severely affected by the pandemic" in various provinces including Laguna, Rizal, and Pampanga, as well as to Metro Manila LGUs like Quezon City and Caloocan.

On Instagram, Ara shared she accomplished her good deed on the fourth week of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

"Salamat sa lahat ng LGU’s at volunteers na tumulong sa pamamahagi ng aming nakayanan," she said.

"Kaya natin ito! Tulong-tulong tayo!" she added.

Showbiz celebrities and personalities are among those who have shown their generosity as the country faced COVID-19.

Early on Bela Padilla raised P3.3M for street vendors affected by the quarantine. Heart Evangelista meanwhile had been donating face masks for Sorsogon, as well as giving out vitamins to Grab drivers, hospital staff and other unsung heroes.

Kris Bernal has made a Monday habit of giving food to street sweepers in their village — apart from lending her talents to the fundraising series of concerts #HealingHearts.

GMA artists have initiated Project Rise Up, raising funds for those who have temporarily lost their jobs because of the pandemic. —LA, GMA News
