‘KUYA GERMS WOULD BE SO HAPPY’

Ken Chan, Sanya Lopez reveal touching reason why they always wanted a project together

Are you guys excited for Sanya Lopez and Ken Chan's first-ever on-screen pairing? So are they.

The two highly sought-after Kapuso actors will star in the pilot episode of GMA's new weekly anthology "Regal Studio Presents" this Saturday, Sept. 11, with a touching love story titled "The Thin Line Between."

During an online interview with GMA press on Tuesday, Ken and Sanya revealed that they'd actually wanted to do a project together for the past 10 years.

They couldn't help but look back at their humble beginnings on GMA's iconic variety show “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman" hosted by the late German Moreno.

Kailan kaya tayo magkakasama?" he said. "And heto, nangyari na!"

Sanya, on the other hand, was sure Kuya Germs would also be happy -- not just for her first project with Ken, but for everything they achieved over the years.

Ken Chan and Sanya Lopez have both established themselves as two of the most sought-after actors on Philippine television.

Ken Chan has captivated audiences as the lead in several GMA dramas like "Destiny Rose," "My Special Tatay," "One of the Baes" and most recently "Ang Dalawang Ikaw," where he played a character struggling with dissociative identity disorder.

Sanya, on the other hand, just slayed her first-ever lead role in the recent Kapuso rom-com "First Yaya" alongside Gabby Concepcion.

The two are now about to star in the pilot episode of GMA's new weekly anthology "Regal Studio Presents" with "The Thin Line Between," airing Sept. 11 at 8:30 p.m. – RC, GMA News
