Miss World Philippines 2021 coronation night to be held on October 3
Miss World Philippines 2021's grand coronation night is finally happening, after much postponement.
In a social media post on Friday, the Miss World Philippines Organization announced that its coronation night will be held this coming Sunday, October 3, at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center Hall A.
"With the full endorsement of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), the Miss World Philippines Organization will ensure the strict implementation of all IATF-mandated protocols for the safety of all candidates, organizers and production crew," it said.
The event was initially scheduled back in July 25 and was moved to August 8. But both dates were postponed when the government placed Metro Manila and four other provinces under GCQ with heightened restrictions.
The first postponement had all 45 candidates voting among themselves to select our representative for the Miss Supranational beauty pageant, who later turned out to be Orani, Bataan's Dindi Pajares.
With the new date set, candidates will compete for seven crowns: Miss World Philippines, Miss Eco International Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas, Miss Tourism Philippines, Miss Environment International Philippines, Miss Eco Teen International Philippines, and Miss Multinational Philippines.
It will stream online on October 3 and will air on GMA-7 on October 10. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
