Carla Abellana answers the question ‘malaya ka ba?’

Carla Abellana has the best answer when she was asked “malaya ka ba?”

On “The Boobay and Tekla Show” last Sunday, the Mema Squad was made to guess which holiday Carla’s birthday falls under. Some of them answered correctly: June 12 or Independence Day.

“Ms. Carla, since Araw ng Kalayaan ka isinilang, di ba malaya yun eh. Ikaw ba, malaya ka ba?” Boobay said.

“Aba, dapat malaya!” Carla said.

Super Tekla added, “Wild and free, ganun.”

Carla said, “Hindi naman yung wild. Free lang,” and laughed.

Asked what malaya means for her, the Kapuso actress said, “Malaya parang ano lang, para bang maganda na isipin mo yung sarili mo, ipagtanggol mo yung sarili mo.”

A few months after her divorce from Tom Rodriguez, Carla is definitely in a good place now.

On social media, she shares empowering posts about mental health and how she finds healing and comfort in meditation, working out, and even soap making.
