Manilyn Reynes gives two cents on Liza Soberano's opinion on love teams in PH

Manilyn Reynes said actors in the Philippines can certainly shine without becoming a member of a love team.

On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the King of Talk asked Manilyn whether she agrees or disagrees with Liza Soberano's opinion about love teams in the country.

Liza recently said in an interview that the only way to become a big star in the Philippines is to be a part of a love team.

"Disagree," said Manilyn, who has been in love teams herself in the past. "Certainly kaya mong gawin 'yan on your own."

"Hindi mo kailangan ng isa pa. Hindi ko sinasabi na hindi mo kailangan ng ka-love team," the veteran actress added. "Somewhere, sometime, somehow, kailangan meron ka ring ka-love team lalo na kapag growing up 'di ba?"

However, the "Pepito Manaloto" star said an actor can definitely make it in the industry with their own talent and of course with hard work.

"Ipakita mo what you've got," she said.

Liza, who also said she felt "boxed in" by love teams, is now pursuing a solo career in Hollywood.

She used to be part of the LizQuen love team with boyfriend Enrique Gil.
