Anne Curtis says her viral TikTok street interview wasn't planned: 'It was very organic'
Anne Curtis went viral back in June when she did an interview with popular TikToker Shan Rizwan.
Shan’s content revolves around interviewing people in New York City. Coincidentally, he ran into Anne and posted a video with her titled “Guessing Jobs in New York City." It seemed as if he had no idea who she was.
It has so far garnered 45.4 million views and 5 million likes. Anne was commended for her humility and grace when answering questions about her job.
In an interview on the “Updated with Nelson Canlas” podcast, the actress and host looked back on that sudden interview.
Anne said she was in New York to attend an event for Tiffany & Co.
“I was shopping in SoHo and lumapit lang siya sa akin. Tinanong niya ako na, ‘Can I guess what your job is?’ Sabi ko, ‘Yeah sure, why not,’” Anne said.
“It was very organic, it wasn't planned, and that's how that interview happened,” she added.
Anne said that she didn’t expect the video to blow up.
“Bigla na lang ako nagulat na, ‘Ha? Ganun kadami nanuod?' It was quite shocking for myself also to see na talagang bigla siyang nag-trend.”
In her previous Kapuso interviews, Anne talked about her time as a GMA artist, being a mom to Dahlia, her sister and fellow actress Jasmine, and more.
Anne is one of the hosts of “It’s Showtime,” which made a strong debut on GMA Network’s GTV on July 1 and was the top trending topic on Twitter worldwide.
At the partnership’s contract signing event, Anne turned emotional. She also had a solo number during the show’s premiere. —Nika Roque/JCB, GMA Integrated News
