Ysabel Ortega wants to work with Ryan Bang on a project

Ysabel Ortega is the latest Kapuso star to grace the “It’s Showtime” stage.

After opening the show with a dance number with members of Hashtags, Ysabel was asked by Kim Chiu which Kapamilya star she would like to be paired with, should she have a crossover-type project one day.

Ysabel immediately said that it would be none other than her longtime friend, Ryan Bang.

“Well kung pipili ako dito sa ‘Showtime,’ syempre pipiliin ko na 'yung pinakamatagal ko nang kilala. So why not diba, si Kuya Ryan,” she said.

Ryan said he has known Ysabel since 2009 because they went to the same high school. At that time, Ysabel knew Ryan as the student council president, who was just starting his showbiz career.

He added that they got super close because of Ysabel and her family’s kindness.
 
“Naging medyo kapitbahay na kami, tas during pandemic, 'yung mommy niya, Tita Michelle Ortega, lagi niya tinatanong sa kin, ‘Ryan, kumain ka na ba? Sarado mga restaurant.’ Sobrang bait, [Tito Greg], Tita Michelle, ang babait 'yung pamilya,” Ryan said.

“Para kaming kapatid," he added.

Ysabel then expressed her gratitude to Ryan. “Sobrang na-appreciate ko si Kuya Ryan kasi he’s always been so supportive sa ‘kin, kaya sobrang thankful ako sa kanya.”

Ryan told the “Voltes V: Legacy” star, “I will always support you, Ysabel.”

Vice Ganda also said that she was once able to go to the cinema with Ysabel, Ryan, and Michelle.

Ysabel and her co-stars Miguel Tanfelix and Gabby Eigenmann went to San Diego Comic-Con for the series. They explored while in costume and spoke to a full audience at a panel discussion.
