Faith Da Silva, Angel Guardian, Kelvin Miranda to join Bianca Umali in 'Sang'gre'

Secret’s out! Faith Da Silva, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda are the new Sang’gres who will join Bianca Umali in the upcoming series, "Sang'gre: Encantadia Chronicles!"

The exciting news was revealed in Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday. 

Faith will play the role of Flamarra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Angel will play Deia, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin; and Kelvin, the first male Sang’gre, will play the role of Adamus, the new protector of the Brilyante ng Tubig.

The new generation of Sang’gres admitted that, despite feeling pressured, they are also excited for their new roles.

Faith shared that she also auditioned in 2016 for the “Encantadia” remake, while Angel said that she has already met the original protector of the Brilyante ng Hangin, Iza Calzado.

In fact, Angel’s character’s name takes inspiration from the name of Iza’s baby, Deia.

Kelvin couldn’t help but feel emotional about his big break.

“Hindi po kasi natin sigurado ‘yung ano ‘di ba, yung kung kailan darating sa’yo ‘yung ilaw mo, ‘yung spotlight mo, parang ang dami munang pagsubok na darating para makita mo siya eh,” he said.

Faith, on the other hand, credited her success to her mom.

“Siya ‘yung nagbigay ng inspirasyon sa’kin para galingan ko palagi, para ipakita ko sa mga tao na, you know, I’m deserving of this position right now,” she said.

The lead cast is now preparing and training for the project, and they said that they know they will need to shoot some intense fight scenes. They are also already familiarizing themselves with the language of “Encantadia.”

To welcome Faith, Angel, and Kelvin, some of the original Sang’gres, Iza Calzado, Diana Zubiri, and Karylle, sent their greetings.

“Avisala! Gusto ko lang mag-send ng aking best wishes, a lot of good energy para sa bagong cast,” Iza said.

“Ako po ay nagagalak at muli, may magpapatuloy ng aming nasimulan,” Diana Zubiri, who played Danaya, said.

“I hope this new ‘Sang’gre’ show will take you to places your heart never imagined,” Karylle, the original Sang’gre Alena, said.

Faith recently starred in "Mga Lihim ni Urduja" and is currently part of “Maging Sino Ka Man.”

Meanwhile, Angel was hailed as the first-ever Ultimate Runner of “Running Man PH” in 2022. She also previously starred in "Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters," "Heartful Cafe," "Onanay," and "Sahaya."

Kelvin starred in “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis” and “Unica Hija.”

Last week, the first star of the series, Bianca Umali, was revealed to play Danaya’s daughter, “Terra,” who will be the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa.
