Kathryn Newton commends Liza Soberano's acting skills: 'She's always perfect'

American actress Kathryn Newton has nothing but kind words for her co-star, Liza Soberano, after working with her for the upcoming coming-of-age film “Lisa Frankenstein.”

In a YouTube video uploaded by Mayhem Mendes, Kathryn talked about her experience working with the Filipina actress.

“I love Liza,” Kathryn said. “She is just a gift to the world, this girl. She's the sweetest girl I've ever met in my whole life.”

Kathryn said that no one else could play Liza’s role, Taffy, except her because “she's such a sweet human, and Taffy is really like a sideways human, kind of sweet, kind of terrible, you're not really sure, but there's nothing about Liza that's not perfect and sweet.”

She added that working with Liza has been a lesson because she is “so professional.”

“This girl cries on command, she is funny on command, and she's always perfect. So, working with her is so much fun,” Kathryn said.

Directed by Zelda Williams and written by Diablo Cody, "Lisa Frankenstein" is inspired by the gothic novel "Frankenstein" by English writer Mary Shelley.

The movie follows Lisa, played by Kathryn, a misunderstood teenager, and her high school crush, played by Cole Sprouse, who happens to be a handsome corpse.

Liza plays the role of Lisa’s stepsister. This is her debut project in Hollywood.

Earlier this January, the film released its trailer, featuring Liza in a cheerleader uniform.
