Awra Briguela pens open letter almost 1 year after involvement in Poblacion brawl: 'I want to say sorry'

Awra Briguela took to social media to share an open letter she wrote almost a year after being involved in an altercation in Poblacion, Makati City.

Awra posted the lengthy message on Instagram dedicated to the "people I've disappointed, to the people who were involved, to the ones who believed in me, and especially to my family."

She started her letter by apologizing to her family, especially her parents.

Awra also apologized for disappointing them in many ways.

The 20-year-old actress also asked for forgiveness from "the ones involved."

"The mistakes and all the damages that were done was mine and I am willing to take accountability and responsibility I will take all of these as a lesson that I will carry for the rest of my life. I know we're in good terms already and settled things privately but still I want to say sorry and thank you for allowing and giving me the chance to apologize and for accepting it," she said.

Awra also thanked those who believed in her, also apologizing for letting them down.

She vowed, "I will make it up to you by correcting, fixing, and owning up my mistakes. I know it will take a lot of time for you all to forgive me, but please do know that I'm taking my time as well to forgive myself."

Awra ended her letter by writing, "Lastly to myself, in able for you to move forward I am very sorry that I let our emotions consume us, I'm sorry we lost our spark at some point of our life and I'm very very sorry 'cuz I didn't take care of ourself. All of these were such a real nightmare and I don't want to let the fear win again. This definitely served as a big big lesson for me."

In June last year, Awra was taken to a police station in Makati after she got into a brawl with another customer outside The Bolthole Bar in Poblacion. She was released on bail a day after the incident.

In a YouTube video uploaded on Vice Ganda's channel last week, Awra said that she has learned her lesson from what happened.

"I owned up to my mistakes," she said.
