'Widows' War' cast signs NDA ahead of finale

"Widows' War" is down to its last two weeks and is gearing up for a thrilling finale.

The cast visited the GMA Network Annex building on Friday, January 3, for a script reading of the final episode, in which the killer and the mastermind behind the murders will be revealed.

Before opening up their scripts, the cast and members of the media had to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), to ensure the confidentiality of the plot and identities of the killer and mastermind.

Carla Abellana, Jean Garcia, Jackie Lou Blanco, Lito Pimentel, Rita Daniela, Timmy Cruz, Royce Cabrera, Charlie Fleming, Matthew Uy, Lovely Rivero, Arthur Solinap, Rikki Mae Davao, and Kiel Rodriguez attended the script reading. Stars Bea Alonzo and Tonton Gutierrez were unable to attend but will be part of the finale.

Also present were director Jerry Sineneng, head writer Obet Villela, producer Michele Borja, GMA Network Assistant Vice President for Drama Ali Nokom-Dedicatoria, and more production team members.

"Widows' War" is a spinoff of the popular murder-mystery series "Royal Blood" and "Widow's Web."

Bea and Carla play former best friends Samantha and Georgina. They both lose their husbands and become sworn enemies as they search for justice for their loved ones.

"Widows' War" airs weekdays on GMA Prime at 8:50 p.m. after "Mga Batang Riles."
