Nora Aunor’s cursive shines in handwritten 1988 note shared by Lotlot De Leon

Lotlot De Leon shared a handwritten letter from her mother, Nora Aunor, drawing attention not only to the message but also to the late Superstar’s distinct cursive penmanship.

On social media, Lotlot shared a photo of a stack of letters with the decades-old note dated August 3, 1988 at the very top.

“Letters from mom,” she wrote in the caption.

The message, written in flowing blue ink, read: “My Dearest Baby, cheer up! Right this instant, someone somewhere is thinking of you!”

Followers quickly noticed the elegant script.

“Ang genius talaga ng ating super star kahit sa kanyang sulat kamay napakaganda,” one user commented.

“Wow, the penmanship! Ganyan pla po sulat kamay ni mama guy!!??” another user said, followed by another’s “What beautiful handwriting. What a heart for you.”

Nora passed away on April 16 from acute respiratory failure. She was 71.

She had a necrological funeral service at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila and was laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on April 22, with Noranians in attendance.

The Philippines has paid tribute through initiatives like film viewings and even naming pastries after her.
