Months after 'permanent goodbye,' Dennis Padilla greets kids Julia, Claudia, and Leon on Christmas
Dennis Padilla made his presence known once more to his kids, Julia, Claudia, and Leon Barretto.
In an Instagram post, the actor greeted his kids on Christmas Day. He shared a photo of his kids together.
“Dearest Julia, Claui, Leon, Gavin, and Maddie, merry Christmas mga anak. Love you all,” Dennis wrote in the photo.
“Love you all mga anak... God bless you more,” he added in his caption.
It can be recalled that Dennis gave a “permanent goodbye” to his kids this year.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz, he said that on Claudia’s wedding to Basti Lorenzo, he thought he would walk the bride down the aisle. Instead, Dennis was asked to sit with the godparents and allegedly did not assume his role as father of the bride.
Dennis, who has a strained relationship with his children, told them that, “This is a permanent goodbye. Maybe the last time that you will see me, sa loob na ng kabaong ko ‘yon dahil hindi na ako makakaiwas. Hindi ko naman kayo i-ba-ban do’n. Anak ko kayo eh.”
Following Claudia’s wedding, her sister Dani Barretto told the couple to not let anything or anyone “dim the light of this moment.”
Leon also said, “Continue to protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away.”
In 2022, Leon called out Dennis with a public letter after the actor-politician said that they did not greet him on Father’s Day.
"Papa, why does it seem like you enjoy hurting your kids in public? Why do you keep posting cryptic posts about us and allow people to bash us on your own [Instagram] page? Did you think it does not pain all of us to not feel protected by their own father?" Leon said.
