'Pepito Manaloto' pays tribute to late Ricky Davao in episode starring daughter Rikki Mae
"Pepito Manaloto" paid tribute to the late veteran actor and director Ricky Davao in its latest episode on January 10, starring his own daughter Rikki Mae.
In the episode, Rikki Mae played the role of Richie, the sister of Robert Maceda (Arthur Solinap), the driver of the Manaloto family. In one scene, Robert introduces Richie to Patrick (John Feir), Pepito's best friend, who remarks that she looks exactly like her father.
In a later scene, Richie receives a heartbreaking call informing her of her father's death, which she shares with her brother and the Manalotos.
"Kuya, wala na si papa," she says tearfully.
As she and Robert weep, they are comforted by Berta (Jen Rosendahl), Robert's partner. The scene then transitions to a tribute photo of the late Ricky Davao in honor of his memory.
"Rest in Power, Direk Ricky Davao. Maraming salamat po sa pagmamahal at pagpapasaya sa #PepitoManaloto," GMA Network wrote on its Instagram caption.
Back in 2014, the late actor had appeared in "Pepito Manaloto," where he was introduced as Robert's father, Robert Maceda Sr.
Ricky passed away in May 2025 after facing complications from cancer. He was 63 years old.
He and Jackie Lou Blanco married in 1989 but separated later on. Their three children are Kenneth, Rikki Mae, and Ara.
