Joy Barcoma says she learned a lot from Michael V. after 'Bubble Gang' guesting

Joy Barcoma is a guest star on "Bubble Gang" for its summer special, and the beauty queen took the opportunity to soak in everything she could learn from the industry veterans in the comedy program.

On Wednesday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Joy said she met Kapuso Comedy Genius Michael V. for the first time when they taped the episodes.

When asked what she learned from Bitoy, the Miss Philippines Earth 2025 said it's that fame is not enough to achieve success.

"You have to hone your craft. You have to have the skill to be able to last long in the industry," she said.

"So hindi sapat na maganda ka lang, hindi sapat na maingay ka sa social media. Dapat kaakibat nung ganda, kaakibat nung pagkasikat, 'yung talento," she added.

Joy said she also learned so much talking to other "Bubble Gang" cast members like Chariz Solomon and Paolo Contis.

"They taught me a lot about the industry, they walked me through the industry, and they also guided me as to how I would like to navigate my career in the industry," she said.

"So having that first hand knowledge from the people I look up to is a really top-tier experience for me."

Aside from "Bubble Gang," Joy also currently appears in "Unang Hirit" as a host-mate. She previously pinch-hit for Macoy Dubs as guest host of "Dogshow Divas" along with Baus Rufo.

Joy finished in the Top 8 of the Miss Earth 2025 competition. Throughout her campaign, she went viral several times for her humor. —MGP, GMA News
