Sanya Lopez, Jane Oineza recall serving actual customers at Nagoya bar for 'Midnight Girls'

Sanya Lopez and Jane Oineza talked about their experience working at a real bar in Nagoya, Japan, as part of their immersion for their film "Midnight Girls."

During their guesting in "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Wednesday, Sanya shared that they served actual customers who had no idea they were actresses filming a movie.

"Hindi kami nag-start na nagpakilala kami as artista. Pinangunahan siya ni Ate Jodi Sta. Maria and then noong second day triny na namin. Nag-usap kami na ano, gagawin na ba natin," she recalled.

Jane added that while they personally knew the owner of the bar, the customers believed they were newly hired staff members.

"'Yung bar na 'yon, kilala natin 'yung owner, pero 'yung mga customer 'di nila alam na artista kami na gumagawa ng pelikula. Ang akala nila mga bago kaming pasok. Mga bagong salta," Jane said.

Aside from serving customers, the actresses also entertained guests by dancing to the iconic "Bakit Papa" by the SexBomb Girls which was a scene in the film.

Aside from Sanya, Jodi and Jane, "Midnight Girls" also stars Loisa Andalio. Directed by Irene Villamor, it tells the story of a group of entertainers in Japan who navigate the harsh realities of their job.

"Midnight Girls" is currently showing in cinemas nationwide. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA News
