Dingdong Dantes meets 91-year-old fan on 'Family Feud'
Dingdong Dantes finally got to meet one of his most avid fans, 91-year-old Lola Tessie!
According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Friday, Lola Tessie became a special guest on "Family Feud" with the help of her granddaughter, Christine.
"My cousin nag-message siya sa 'kin sa Facebook sabi niya sobrang fan daw talaga ni Dingdong si ahma, kung pwede daw gawan ng paraan na ma-meet niya si Dong. Tapos 'yan, sinubukan ko magpost sa isang Facebook group, out of nowhere nagulat na lang ako biglang naging viral na 'yung post," shared Christine.
The post caught the attention of Dingdong, who commented to invite them on the game show as special guests.
"For your lola, tara let's make it happen. I-calendar na natin 'yan," the Kapuso actor had commented.
Lola Tessie then traveled to the GMA Network Center in Quezon City to meet Dingdong in person. She shared that she was not able to sleep before the visit out of excitement.
"Hindi nga," she said, laughing.
Dingdong was just as thrilled to meet Lola Tessie, saying, "This is it, oras na para makilala natin si Lola Tessie. Excited na 'ko makilala siya."
During "Family Feud," the Kapuso actor approached Lola Tessie, who was sitting in a wheelchair among the crowd, to shake her hand. He also gave her a jacket so she would not feel cold inside the studio.
Lola Tessie likewise received placards with Dingdong's face on them as souvenirs. Per the report, she even owns a special placemat bearing Dingdong's face.
As an admirer, the 91-year-old has followed Dingdong's projects through the years, including his latest series, "The Master Cutter."
"The Master Cutter" is Dingdong's return to primetime since starring in "Royal Blood" in 2023. It airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix. —CDC, GMA News
