Tom Rodriguez thankful for role as Gargan in 'Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre'

Tom Rodriguez is full of gratitude for the opportunity to enter the "Encantadia" universe following the finale of "Sang'gre."

On Instagram, the Kapuso actor said that to be part of the world that means so much to people "is already an honor."

However, he said it meant something personal for him.

"In 2017, it was the show my dad watched every single day during his final days, with us right there beside him. So getting to step into this universe for 'Sang'gre' Book 2 felt like a quiet tribute to him," he said.

Tom added that he didn't know what to expect from "Sang'gre," given that the team has been working on it for years.

"What I found was a group of people who kept showing up with dedication, patience, grit, and joy, even on the hardest days. There was real blood, sweat, heat, paint, armor, retouches, and a lot of laughter poured into Gargan. (Man, I really miss my hot, heavy costume/armor and my heavy staff!)," he said.

Tom thanked GMA Network, the production team, and his co-stars.

"You made the intense work feel like play," he said. "Avisala Eshma, Encantadia. The kingdom is forever etched in my heart."

To end his post, Tom teased, "Gargan… but not gone forever."

"Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" ended its run on GMA Prime this month. It starred Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda as the new generation of elemental gem keepers.
