Ysabel Ortega honored at 11th Inding-Indie Excellence Awards

Ysabel Ortega was honored at the 11th Inding-Indie Excellence Awards.

The “Sang’gre” star was named Most Outstanding, Versatile, and Phenomenal Television Actress of the Modern Era by the organization on Sunday.

“Actually, this is my very first award po for my work in television, so thank you so much for this,” Ysabel said in her acceptance speech, per a video posted by Sparkle GMA Artist Center on Instagram.

The actress also thanked the award-giving body for not just honoring showbiz personalities, but also advocates “for everyone else who cannot advocate for themselves.”

The Inding-Indie Excellence Awards recognizes personalities in the media and entertainment industries for their advocacy for arts and culture, as well as for women's and children's rights, mental health, persons with disabilities, social progress, and youth empowerment.

Ysabel last starred in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre” as Hara Armea.

She is also one of the stars of the upcoming Kapuso series, “Hari ng Tondo.”
