Rocco Nacino, Ysabel Ortega begin training for 'Hari ng Tondo'
Rocco Nacino and Ysabel Ortega are hard at work as they begin training for the upcoming Kapuso prime action series, “Hari ng Tondo.”
According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Tuesday, Rocco is entering his kontrabida era, as he plays a member of a syndicate in the series. This is where he will come face-to-face with lead stars Ruru Madrid and Dennis Trillo.
Per Rocco, he will use his learnings as a celebrity dance star on “Stars on the Floor" for his action and fight scenes.
“’Yung mga skills na nakuha ko sa ‘Stars on the Floor,’ parang gusto kong gamitin dito. Medyo pagka-breakdancer na eh,” he said.
“Magiging active na ulit ako sa jiu-jitsu at may aaralin akong mga martial arts na specific na magagamit ng character ko dito."
Aside from showbiz, Rocco is also active in promoting mixed martial arts and organizing tournaments.
Aside from Rocco, Ysabel is set to take on an action-packed role in "Hari ng Tondo" after her stint as Hara Armea in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre."
The Sparkle star will play a social worker who fights for women’s rights in the series.
“Mag-sa-start na rin akong mag-stunt training. Bumabalik ako sa mga dati kong ginagawa for ‘Voltes V.’ Dati nag-g-gymnastics po kasi ako, so bumabalik ako sa gymnastics para karagdagang kaalaman,” she shared.
“Hari ng Tondo” is directed by Enzo Williams and will also star Ryza Cenon, Arra San Agustin, Gary Estrada, Victor Neri, Nonie Buencamino, Isko Moreno, and Heath Jornales.
