Kobie Brown set to join 'Born to Shine'

Kobie Brown is set to join the Kapuso series "Born to Shine."

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Friday, the Sparkle artist will play the role of JC, a singer.

"Mga four weeks ago na, I've been studying my script through and through tapos nag-c-characterization po ako, and I'm just so happy to be back in teleserye," he said

"I actually do get to sing here, which is different for me. I've never done a role like this, so very excited," he added.

Per the report, Kobie received a warm welcome from the production team and stars of "Born to Shine."

"First taping ko has been amazing, sobrang smooth siya, again ang bait ng mga staff dito. I'm so happy to be working with them and it's just a happy set, so it's been great so far," he said.

Meanwhile, lead star Zephanie expressed her joy of having Kobie part of the series, as his arrival makes the storyline exciting.

"Sobrang grateful lang din na talagang naglalaan din sila ng time for us and I guess nagllook forward ako na aside dun sa magplay sila ng role nila is mashare din nila yung experience nila dun sa journey nila as an artist, dun sa story sa Born to Shine so looking forward for more guests," she said.

Kobie officially joined the Sparkle GMA Artist Center family in May.

"Born to Shine" airs Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 pm on GMA Afternoon Prime.
