What's it like to work with BGYO? Yumi Naya of 'Born to Shine' shares experience

The girls of Yumi from “Born to Shine” were among the lucky ones who got to share scenes with BGYO for the series.

On “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Thursday, Naya Ambi, who plays Stella, shared that it was a great feeling to collaborate with a real P-Pop group.

“Sobrang bait din po nila eh, professional as well,” Naya said, adding that BGYO knows their lines for the scenes.

“Also kapag may konting kulitan po kami sa set, may humor po talaga. Nag-ja-jive po ‘yung humor namin,” she added.

According to Naya, Gelo is the joker of the boy band, and he is her bias.

BGYO appeared as themselves in their “Born to Shine” guesting.

BGYO, composed of Gelo, Nate, Mikki, Akira, and JL, made a comeback with their single "Fresh" in February.

In March, they performed at the DUNK Showcase in Japan. They also performed at the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 coronation night in May.

Meanwhile, "Born to Shine" airs Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
