'24 Oras,' 'KMJS,' other Kapuso shows nominated in inaugural FAMAS Broadcast Arts Awards
Several GMA Network news programs, variety shows, and personalities have received nominations in the inaugural FAMAS Broadcast Arts Awards.
On Facebook, the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) announced the nominees across various television and broadcast categories.
GMA Network's "Resibo" was nominated for Best Public Service Program, while Jessica Soho ("Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho"), Kara David ("I-Listen with Kara David"), and Vicky Morales ("Wish Ko Lang") earned nominations for Best Host for Public Service.
For Best News Anchor, nominees include Mel Tiangco and Emil Sumangil of "24 Oras."
The flagship newscast was also nominated for Best News Program.
Meanwhile, "State of the Nation" and "I-Listen with Kara David" are contenders for Best Public Affairs Talk Show.
"Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" and "iHeart PH" received nominations for Best Magazine Show.
Under Best Show for Game, Reality, and Competition, nominees include "Family Feud" and "The Voice Kids Philippines."
The Best Lifestyle Show category features Heart Evangelista's Instagram account, "Byahe ni Drew," and "Pinas Sarap," while "Born to Be Wild" earned a nomination for Best Educational Show.
Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis were both nominated for Best Host for Entertainment for "It's Showtime," alongside Boy Abunda for "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."
"Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" also secured a nomination for Best Entertainment Talk Show.
In the Best Documentary category, the nominees include "Broken Roads, Broken Promises," hosted by Dingdong Dantes, and "Embalsamador de Motor" from "i-Witness."
An earlier batch of nominees was previously released, with Bea Alonzo and Kelvin Miranda receiving nominations for Best Performer (Series/Anthology). Bea was recognized for her performance in "Widows' War," while Kelvin earned a nod for his role in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre."
