Chanty Videla open to new opportunities, says Lapillus ‘will always be there’

Chanty Videla is open to new career and performing opportunities.

In Athena Imperial’s report on “24 Oras” on Monday, the K-Pop idol also opened up about her group, Lapillus.

“In my heart, Lapillus will always be there,” Chanty said. “Sana mabuo kami ulit pero I’m gonna trust God kung ano man ‘yung will Niya for me.”

“So if ever that path would lead to me going solo, then why not?” Chanty said.

Chanty trusts that her supporters got her back, no matter what she does in the showbiz industry. In fact, they recently held a special thanksgiving fan meet for her.

“I just really wanna say thank you kasi ramdam na ramdam ko ‘yung support nila ever since,” she said.

Last April 2024, Chanty postponed her activities with the group indefinitely following struggles with her health.

In 2025, Chanty clarified that Lapillus was just on a break.

In March this year, on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Filipino-Argentinian K-pop idol set the record straight that Lapillus has not disbanded yet. However, Chanty said they are not being given updates by their agency, MLD Entertainment.

The group of Chanty, Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun debuted in 2022 with the song "Hit Ya!" That same year, Chanty signed with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.

Lapillus was among the artists who attended, won awards, and performed at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards held at the Philippine Arena last December.

Chanty was a celebrity dance star on "Stars on the Floor" Season 2 and currently stars in “Kamao.”
